Frederick D Mize

Frederick D. Mize, age 78, died December 5, 2012 in Clarksville, TN. The funeral will be at Resthaven Funeral Home with Ted Denny officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM, the hour of service at the funeral home. He was born July 7, 1934 in Martinsville, VA, the son of Euell Spencer Mize and Bessie Boinott Mize. Mr. Mize was a retired Army SFC, with duties in Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from Vulcan Rubber Corp. He was a Baptist and 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Al Menah Shrine Temple of Nashville, TN. Mr. Mize will be buried with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. He was the widower of Mildred L. Mize. Survivors include two sons, Michael D. Mize from Springfield, IL and Walter R. Mize of Memphis, TN; three daughters, Janet L. Mize of Vancover, WA, Vickie A Mize and Virginia L. Sprague of Clarksville, TN; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Royal of Christiansburg, VA and one brother Robert Mize of Martinsville, VA.
