JERNIGAN, KATHLEEN Kathleen Jernigan, age 70 passed away Sunday December 1, 2013 in Red Oak, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday December 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, Highway 41-A South, Clarksville, TN 37040, with Brother Byron Dumas officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home. She was born Willie Kathleen Honeycutt (Willie later legally deleted), on December 10, 1942 in Kinly, North Carolina to Frank Honeycutt and Mary Williams of Granger County, South Carolina. Kathleen married Cletus Thelton Jernigan on July 28, 1959, a career military person from Caruthersville, MO. They were married for over 54 happy and wonderful years. She was a mother of five children, four boys and one girl, a grandmother of 14 grandchildren plus four great grandchildren. Kathleen was not only a wife and home maker she too had a 22 year civil service career with the Defense Commissary Agency. She retired from that position on January 15, 2000. She leaves behind an amazing legacy for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made in memory of Kathleen to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
