Trudy York

Trudy E. York, 85, Clarksville, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Montgomery Health Care. The funeral will be held at 11 Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, chapel with Reverend Jimmy Marklin officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from Monday evening 5-7. Resthaven Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. Trudy was a long time member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union. After moving to Clarksville, she retired from Jay Garment and then served as a Foster Grandparent for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System. She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Addie Brown. Trudy was preceded in death by her husband James "Doc" York, and her sister Sylvia Brown Rogers. She is survived by James York, Monette, AR, Michael (Linda) York, Clarksville, Barry (Sheron) York, Clarksville, Perry (Dianne) York, Clarksville, Gayla York, Antioch, TN. A sister Elona Kimery, Little Rock AR. She has 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Resthaven Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 931-358-2938.
