Respecting Sacred Grounds

Visiting Guidelines: Preserving Our Sacred Grounds

Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery is a place of quiet memory, honor, and solace. To ensure a peaceful and comforting atmosphere for every family, we ask that all guests observe the following practical courtesies during their visit:

  • Maintain Quiet Reflection: Keep voices low, step away to take phone calls, and avoid playing loud audio so others can reflect in peace.
  • Drive with Care: Obey low speed limits, stay alert for pedestrians, and park strictly in designated spots without blocking access lanes.
  • Respect Memorial Areas: Walk around gravesites rather than over them. Please leave headstones, markers, and personal tokens undisturbed.
  • Dress Mindfully: We encourage modest, respectful attire suited for a dignified environment.
  • Keep Grounds Clean: Use trash receptacles or take waste with you. Secure floral arrangements so they do not blow away.
  • Check Decoration Rules: Fresh flowers are always welcome. For rules on artificial arrangements, lights, or keepsakes, please consult our Decoration Guidelines.
  • Service Animals Only: To maintain cleanliness and tranquility, pets are strictly prohibited, though licensed service animals are always welcome.
  • No Photography or Filming: To protect the privacy of grieving families, personal photography and video recording are prohibited.
  • Give Grieving Families Space: Keep a thoughtful distance from active funeral services or other visitors in mourning.
